This two-part virtual workshop will focus on developing the necessary skills to design projects suitable for the laser cutter. This will include how to work with vector graphics and prepare designs to both engrave and cut on the machine. Please note that this workshop does not include actual laser cutting. For our in-person laser cutting workshop, please register for the Introduction to Laser Cutting workshop.
This workshop meets virtually over Zoom on January 27 & 31, 5:00 PM–7:00 PM, by registering you are agreeing to attend both dates.

James Rutter is Haystack’s Technology Director. He holds a Ph.D. in STEM Education and a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering. He has spent the past 15 years working in creative and educational spaces developing programs and projects for Fab Labs and makerspaces.
