Basics of Benchtop Computer-Controlled Machining

  • Haystack - Center for Community Programs 22 Church Street Deer Isle, ME, 04627 United States (map)

$35
In-Person

Come learn the basics of CNC machining using small, benchtop-style equipment in the Fab Lab! A pre-designed project will be used to orient students to the process, starting with a brief introduction to the software and then transitioning to the setup and operation of the tools. Join us if you've ever just been interested in learning what CNC machining is or want to incorporate it into an existing craft practice. This workshop will give both a broad orientation and some practical time with the equipment, so you can walk away with a clear understanding of what it takes to get more involved.
